Chalk Riot creates pavement art and murals primarily for special events and marketing campaigns. I have been sole proprietor of Chalk Riot LLC since 2013 and am honored and humbled to work with such an incredible team of artists. To date, we have produced over 200 pieces of artwork in 14 states and 4 countries. Notable project clients include Google, Vevo, Bleacher Report, and more. We have been featured on NPR and PBS Newshour, and embrace partnerships with non-profits and city agencies investing in pavement art with the purpose of improving community safety, having worked with the City of Sacramento, the DC Department of Transportation, the City of Takoma Park and several Business Improvement Districts.

The business was born out of a mission to install more public art in St. Louis, MO (where I used to live until 2015) and I then quickly crossed paths with muralist Liza Fishbone. Now approaching our ten-year anniversary, our all-women street art crew stays busy on the pavement and are always experimenting!

If you see a trail of rainbow glitter on the sidewalk, we’re probably around the corner.

Commitment to Community:

Chalk Riot regularly leverages ephemeral chalk art to facilitate dialogue around social justice issues, public arts engagement practices and arts education. We believe that chalk art is an accessible and approachable art. Our all-women team is committed to being a resource for those that are looking to explore and learn about the craft and its many applications.
